Nina chose to follow Tringorin to Moscow, and Nina's happy days did not last long. Trinkolin abandoned Nina and their aborted child, and Nina drifted for years, working as a provincial actress.
Nina returns to her hometown and meets Tripolyev.
Nina: "I'm afraid you must hate me. I dream every day that you look at me, but don't recognize me. You really don't know, since I came back I come here every day ...... around the lake. I have approached your house so many times, but each time I couldn't make up my mind to come in. Shall we sit down? Now let's sit down and talk. How nice it is here, warm and cozy ...... Do you hear this wind?"
"On a night like this, happy is the man who has a roof to shelter from the storm and a fire to warm himself. I am a seagull ...... No, I said it wrong. What did I just say to you? Ah, yes ...... Turgenev ...... May God help the homeless wanderers!"

Themed Script Reading
- The Seagull
After several sessions of the Improv Salon, the audience's demand for script reading sessions has been increasing, and the Lumos organizing committee has responded by launching an online script reading session here.
The theme of the first session is Russian realistic drama, we will learn from Chekhov's The Seagull, The Cherry Orchard, The Three Sisters, Uncle Vanya and Gogol's The Marriage, The Chinaman, etc. We will also appreciate the profound influence of Stanislavski's system, which is one of the three major acting systems in the world, on the stage of theater, film and television of various countries.

What is a script reading?
A script reading is an event in which multiple people sit around and read a script aloud. It is a form of performance between a script and a performance. By sitting together and reading the script before rehearsal, the writer or director is able to make a judgment in advance and demand more precision from the script or the actors. Playwrights also use this as a way to polish their scripts, often holding multiple readings from the beginning of the writing process to the final presentation.
Through these readings, we can deeply appreciate the beauty of dramatic language, the ups and downs of the plot, and the intensity of emotions. Face-to-face reading, the actors can better grasp the rhythm and emotion word by word, and a play reading is also a memorable emotional exchange for the actors.
Why participate in a scripted communal reading?
While the internet has brought us closer together, it has also alienated us in others. How long has it been since you have interacted with interesting souls? Characters sealed in a script may be resurrected by your interpretation; friends on the other side of the net are looking forward to seeing you vividly.
Drama can also be used as a means of emotional healing. Life inevitably brings emotions, perhaps you are suffering from stress or anger? Acting out can be a great emotional outlet. Substituting a new character in a dramatic conflict, either sadness or joy, allows you to look beyond the temporary stumbles of life.
Right now, if you are also considering a theater major and want to learn about the day-to-day life of a theater major, developing a hobby of reading books is a great place to start. The skills you acquire by reading plays aloud, tone of voice, intonation, and accent, will be an aid to public speaking, and the experience of the stage will build your mettle.
You will
