    Lumos is a non-profit organization run by high school students. We launch the Lumos Theater Festival every summer.

     

    In 2022, Lumos started out as a group of student theater fans who were stuck by the pandemic.

     

    Lumos Theater Festival is the key step to online transition. Lumos strives to deliver comfort that transcends time and space to our peers and the public. In 2023, as the mist of pandemic clears, Lumos continues to advocate online theater, while looking for venues to go local.

     

    Although there are many opportunities for school students to act and perform, Lumos, as we commonly believe, is the very stage for us to promote theater education as a unique experience that shapes our growth, share our emotions, and connect to our peers. We hope every bit of LUMOS could diverge into LUMOS MAXIMA for our collective efforts. Join us!

    Develop

    For those who love theatre but still lack experience, this is the perfect opportunity to "take the first step" - our workshops can teach you how to try to express your ideas and talents from scratch.

    Connect

    For those who are already engaging in theater but feel isolated, participating in the workshop and competition is an excellent opportunity to expand your drama circle. You can exchange skills with theater partners from all over the country.

    Inspire

    For those who aspire to establish themselves in the theater industry, guests from all over the world can offer different perspectives - seasoned producers from Broadway, seniors majoring in theatre studies, and pioneers who innovate in the Chinese theater scene.
